“Undiscovered” explores the hidden gem of the Pacific Northwest and quite possibly the most under-the-radar mountain in the nation - Eaglecrest Ski Area in Juneau, Alaska. Sophia Rouches & Delilah Cupp, travel to Alaska for the first time with hosts Mark Landvik & Mark Rainery. Together, they experience the joys of exploring an untracked powder paradise hidden in plain sight outside Alaska’s remote capital city.

The Big Couloir is one of Big Sky’s most daunting runs. It’s a 1,000-foot vertical shot with a sustained pitch of 50 degrees. It's on the bucket list of most big mountain skiers, and skiing it is no small task. In 2019, 12-year-old Jacob Smith descended the formidable couloir, joining the ranks of other high caliber athletes. But unlike most skiers, Smith skied it blind, becoming the first blind skier to ever do so. Watch Jacob's journey as he takes on one of Lone Mountain's most iconic runs.
Enshrined in the US Ski Hall of Fame in 2015 and leading the way across terrain with his revolutionary design of the sit ski, Jim Martinson is a Crystal Mountain local and an unstoppable legend, Paralympic athlete, inventor, and founding father of adaptive skiing.
The state-of-the-art Lone Peak Tram was built in 1995. Opening access to over 300 degrees of skiing off the peak, the opening of this lift catapulted Big Sky Resort into the eyes of extreme skiers and onto their bucket lists around the globe.

Dan Egan starred in 12 Warren Miller movies from 1985-1994, skiing daring lines in remote locations worldwide. In 1999 Powder magazine named the brothers among the most influential skiers of our time, and last year, they were inducted into the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame.
Some ideas never see the light of day. In spring 2020, Steep and a team of local athletes set out to descend Big Sky’s legendary A-Z Chutes at night. Their descents were lit up by drone and headlamp.
Bob Dixon first came to Big Sky in 1982 at age 33, after 37 years of patrolling, he is retiring. Dixon is famous on Lone Peak: For his Mr. Spock-like calm under pressure; for patrolling six days a week during most of his career; for his tall tales about surviving the 1960s; and for wearing only sunglasses until the temperature is below negative 10.
